IDSync® Announces New Versions of Active Directory Connector for Parallels® Automation via APS

Perrysburg, Ohio June 05, 2013 — CURRENT VERSION OF IDSYNC® UPGRADED

In cooperation with Parallels®, the leading hosting and cloud services enablement provider, IDSync®, a leading Microsoft Active Directory identity management solution for Parallels Automation, announced it has begun design and development on the next generation of the Application Packaging Standard (APS) 2.0 integration for its Active Directory Connector to support deployments on the Parallels Automation platform that integrates with Microsoft’s Hosted Exchange, SharePoint and Lync Active Directory (AD) features.

The new features for the APS version 1.2 package builds on the extensive capabilities of the original Active Directory Connector for Parallels Automation. Along with its capability to provision Exchange and SharePoint users into a Parallels Automation environment, the current version of the IDSync® software is being upgraded to include additional support for the Microsoft’s Hosted Lync product. The expected release date for the Lync provisioning features is June, 2013.

IDSync® has joined the APS 2.0  Beta Program and plans to release the IDSync® Active Director Connector that includes capabilities for the SMB administrator to manage their users, groups, distribution lists and contacts directly from an on premise Active Directory. Those changes are reflected in their  Parallels Automation Customer Control Panel for management and billing by the hosting provider. Other ISV partners in the APS ecosystem will be able to acquire the SMB’s AD information via the APS 2.0 Service Bus, reducing the complexity of provisioning their services, while at the same time increasing the revenue opportunities for the service provider.

“We are very pleased to have IDSync® expand their commitment to the APS 2.0 Beta Program, said John Zanni, Vice President, Service Provider Marketing and Alliances. “They have been working closely with the Parallels and APS engineering teams on the design of their integration for the IDSync® Active Directory Connector via APS 2.0, where IDSync® will be able to take advantage of enhanced dynamic UI, SSO and multi-product discovery and interoperability features for service providers to differentiate their SMB offering.” The expected release of the v2.0 beta is scheduled for availability in July 2013 with first ship expected in September.

Identity Syncronizer™ extends the standard Active Directory property pages to provide centralized management for an SMB’s user’s credentials, meta-data, and application configuration information in a single location that drives the provisioning process. This is accomplished by inserting application management links to Parallels Automation platform via the IDSync® Active D Connector directly within an SMB’s Active Directory, making it easy to manage user provisioning from a single security database.

With Identity Syncronizer™, the service or cloud provider extends their brand presence inside the customer AD environment by having a fully branded tab, complete with logo, for each of their product offerings which leverage the customer’s Active Directory environment.

“We love the features of IDSync®,” said Mike Lamb, Director of Market Development for Apptix, a Parallels partner. “It has been very easy for our staff to learn and deploy the service into the customer environment and simple for our customers to use it to provide the Microsoft hosted services we deliver via the Parallels Automation platform.”

IDSync® reduces the on-boarding complexity and the costs associated with the initial provisioning for new clients and the on-going labor required to maintain and support accurate application, password and personal information. Identity Syncronizer™ updates in real-time and seamlessly integrates the standard Active Directory features with the Parallels Automation platform, including support for Windows Security Groups, Contacts and Distribution Lists.

“Service providers need to add new clients to their business management platform as quickly as possible to maximize their cloud service revenues” said Marty Rini, InnerApps Chief Operating Officer. “Our goal is to deliver on the promise of Active Directory so that it can truly become a single source of identity information for both Cloud and On-premise applications. With the IDSync® Active Directory Connector for Parallels Automation, we’re minimizing the administrative time and effort for our service providers, making it easier for them to work with their SMB end-users both during the on-boarding process as well as during regular daily updates and maintenance.”

Identity Syncronizer™ is an identity management platform tightly integrated to Microsoft Active Directory that provides application level user security, password synchronization, and access management within the standard AD Users and Computers management console for both on premise and cloud based systems.
