PERRYSBURG, OHIO – July 10, 2012 – Customers of Parallels® Operations Automation can now utilize Identity Syncronizer™ to integrate customer identity information from Microsoft’s Active Directory via the use of a new Identity Connector and APS package. This new integration, announced today by InnerApps (www.idsync.com) dramatically improves a Service/Cloud Provider’s ability to quickly on-board new customers and provision user’s access and privileges within their Parallels® Operations Automation software by leveraging the end-customers Active Directory system as a single identity management system.
IDENTITY SYNCRONIZER – TWO WAY INTEGRATION WITH ACTIVE DIRECTORY
A user’s corporate identity, stored within Active Directory, is syncronized with Parallels Operations Automation bi-directionally keeping all critical information such as name, location, phone, application and service configuration information updated with each change made at the end-customer. IDSync™ (www.idsync.com) manages the on-boarding, bulk provisioning, password management, and synchronization of the data between Parallels® Operations Automation security mechanisms and the centralized store of user’s identity and provisioning information in Active Directory. This gives Parallels® Operations Automation administrators a quick and easy way to eliminate client adoption barriers and manage user and resource information on an on-going basis while eliminating the need to maintain the same data in two systems.
SERVICE PROVIDER BRAND – DIRECTLY WITHIN ACTIVE DIRECTORY
Identity Syncronizer extends the standard Active Directory property pages to provide centralized management of a User’s credentials, information, and application configuration information in a single location. This is accomplished by inserting application specific tabs within the Active Directory management tools. With Identity Syncronizer the Service or Cloud provider extends their brand presence INSIDE the customer site by having a fully branded tab, complete with logo, for their product offerings directly within the customer’s Active Directory environment.
IDENTITY MANAGEMENT – SELF-SERVICE, MONITORING & AUDIT
In addition, Identity Syncronizer, provides full featured client-side self-service, auditing, and reporting features for each connected application. Using the self-service system the user may maintain their own basic contact and personal information. Additionally, users can reset their own password by authenticating with a set of pre-registered security questions. Further, all security and provisioning changes made to the user account, application privileges, security groups, and even passwords are logged for compliance and auditing purposes. With the addition of the Parallels® connector and APS package, Identity Syncronizer extends these same features and services to end-users managed via its Operations Automation system.
MAXIMIZE SERVICE REVENUE
IDSync reduces the on-boarding complexity and the costs associated with the initial provisioning for new clients AND the on-going labor required to maintain and support accurate access, password, and personal information as it changes on a daily basis. Identity Syncronizer brings standard Active Directory features and seamlessly integrates them with Parallels including Windows Security Groups, Contact, Distribution Lists, Application Level Feature Control and much more. “Service providers need to add new clients to their business management platform as quickly as possible to maximize their service revenues.” said Marty Rini, InnerApps Chief Operating Officer. “Our goal is to deliver on the promise of Active Directory so that it can truly become a single source of identity information for both Cloud and On-premise applications. With this Identity Connector for Parallels®, we’re simplifying the administrative time and efforts for our service providers making it easier for them to work with their end-user’s identity information both during on-boarding as well as during on-going daily maintenance.”
